Let’s get personal,

I became a dietitian because it has always been my dream to be a nutrition educator and counselor. My goal is to serve as a guide and to help my clients transition towards making healthful and mindful everyday lifestyle choices. My own personal experiences have made me passionate about leading a healthy lifestyle and educating others on how they can do it, too.

In my own life, I struggled with weight management issues. I fully understand how difficult and defeating the journey of weight loss can be (you can see my “before and after” pictures below). This first picture shows me in June 2011, right after I finished my freshman year of college. I was at my highest weight of over 190 pounds, and admittedly, was at one of my lowest mental states. The second picture is from January 2020, a few years after I achieved and maintained a ~30 pound weight loss (something that I still work towards maintaining today).

It is a given that success is very individualized, which is why I would love the opportunity to work with you individually to turn your life around for the better by providing you with evidenced-based guidance and emotional support throughout your own journey.

I was able to enact lifelong changes by first shifting my mindset from negative to positive. Providing constant positive reminders that I am benefiting myself with every small change and/or choice, rather than negatively thinking I am making sacrifices or “giving up” things I used to enjoy, allowed me to continuously move closer to my goals and achieve personal success. This feeling of improved well-being through positive changes is something I want my clients to feel. Learning how to work with my body and mind, rather than fighting against the two, is what ultimately brought me success.
